Sonic 4 (SNES)

Sonic 4 on the Super Nintendo console is yet another bizarre bootleg that I've played. It's a sprite hack of an existing game (Speedy Gonzales: Los Gatos Bandidos) that replaces Speedy Gonzales with Sonic and the mice you save with Mario. Sonic's sprites are taken from Sonic 2, and Mario's are taken from Super Mario World. Most of the game's original levels are removed from this bootleg, and in some cases the game will freeze once you reach a certain level depending on which emulator you use to play it on. If you do beat it, the text at the end is amusing. xD Keep in mind this hack was made back when Sega didn't partner with Nintendo, and they were still rivals. Here are a few screenshots:
